This year's conference will focus on the current discussions surrounding the Federal Government's National Marine Strategy and how such a strategy reflects the global dimension of marine policy. How strong will the international dimension be in the National Marine Strategy? To what extent mus national and international marine policy processes be interlinked and coherent? What global dynamics need to be incorporated into the National Marine Strategy so that it fulfils goals such as those formulated in SDG 14 and brings together environment and development in its design?
