Against the stunning backdrop of the Regatta of Boats, the symbolic flag raising ceremony will invite the global ocean community as well as the public in Nice to celebrate this year’s UN WOD theme, “ Wonder: Sustaining What Sustains Us. Coastal Walk for Sustainable Marine Fisheries and Environment in Thailand.

The Alumni Society of International Ocean Institute (IOI) - Thailand will co-organize an event entitled "Coastal Walk for Sustainable Marine Fisheries and Environment in Thailand" to celebrate the World Ocean Day 2025 in Phuket on Sunday 8 June 2025 and to celebrate the 25th Jubilee Anniversary of IOI Thailand i n collaboration with the Association of KU Alumni of Phuket; Phang-Nga, the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (Or-Bor-Jor), the 3rd Naval Area Command, Department of Fisheries (DOF), Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, Phuket Municipalities, and local organizations, and partners.
