Press Conference: Leaders of Subnational Island Jurisdictions - 2025 UN Ocean Conference.


Leaders of the Subnational Island Jurisdictions (SNIJs) will launch the SNIJ Climate Coalition, a new alliance to strengthen collaboration and amplify SNIJ voices on the global stage.

Guests will also showcase innovative policies, local action, and regional leadership in marine protection and climate resilience.

  • José Manuel Bolieiro, President of the Regional Government of the Azores
  • Moetai Charles Brotherson, President of French Polynesia
